The County Community Players are proud to present their latest production, Rabbit Hole, by David Lindsay-Abaire. Performances will be held at UMPI’s Gauvin Family Center for the Cultural Arts on July 19,20, 26, and 27 at 7:00PM. Tickets are $15.00 for adults and $10.00 for children. Rabbit Hole, the recipient of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, explores the complexity of a family navigating deep grief and learning what it means to live a fruitful life when things fall apart. Through both laughter and tears, the characters find their ways together and apart for a truly thought-provoking story. Please note that this show contains strong language, mature subject matters, and frequent mentions of child loss and may not be suitable for all audiences.

Airsoft is a sport where players from all walks of life can come together and have an amazing experience together. Here, we believe in creating an inclusive environment that is safe for everyone, which includes players as young as twelve years of age. We are open every Sunday between Memorial Day Weekend and the start of November, with the exception of the fourth Sunday in July. We do hold special and private games on occasional Saturdays, and are happy to rent out the field for private play any time we don’t already have something on the schedule. UMFK will host an afternoon of an Acadian-inspired classical musical concert featuring Baritone Jared Andrew Michaud, Soprano Melanie Saucier, and Pianist Christina Maria Koti. The concert will be held on the University of Maine at Fort Kent campus in Fox Auditorium. The tickets are available on four levels: Performance only: $25 per person and doors open at 1:30 p.m.; Prelude: Enjoy to a wine and choose social prior to the performance for $50 and doors open at 12:30 p.m.; Encore: Attend the performance and delight in a champagne and dessert social with the performers following the performance for $50; and a VIP Experience: All in one level to include wine and cheese, performance, followed by the champagne and dessert social for $75. After such a wonderful workshop last year, we're welcoming Michael Albert back to the Mark & Emily Turner Memorial Library! The “Modern Pop Art Experience” includes an artist appearance, artist talk and presentation. This also includes a HANDS-ON COLLAGE WORKSHOP where participants get to create their own collages using the same materials Mr. Albert uses to create works of art. Host Matt Libby and family run an incredible sporting camp operation that caters to outdoor enthusiasts far and wide in all four seasons that the great state of Maine can boast. Perhaps their most notable calling card is their Orvis Endorsed Fishing Lodge. Anyone not familiar with what this endorsement represents will quickly realize it when they walk through the main doors of the lodge. Libby’s provides one of the best lunches on our stops throughout the year. Following lunch, we will stroll the facility and explore the shore of the lake. If Matt or Ellen are available, they will provide a talk about their family’s rich history in the sporting camp business & guide us around the cabins while participants get a chance to peak in and see what keeps bringing their guests back year after year. American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
Walk in memory or support of those who have lost someone to suicide. Suicide can be prevented. Join the movement! Registration begins at 9:00 a.m and walk begins at 10:00 a.m. The walk route consists of the Fort Kent "mills," a 2.8 mile loop through downtown Fort Kent. The walk will begin and end at the Lion’s Pavilion. Proceeds go to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to raise awareness, provide education and support to survivors of suicide loss, etc. As always, we promote this as a tobacco free event.
